Description

Everything your loved one needs in one package. Full-electric hospital bed, pressure-relief mattress, wood-grain headboard and footboard, side rails, and floor mat. Ready to set up and use.

The WeCare Complete is a full-electric home hospital bed package with everything included -- bed frame, therapeutic mattress, wood-grain headboard and footboard, half-length side rails on both sides, and a bedside floor mat for fall protection.

The bed lowers to just 8 inches off the floor for safe transfers and fall prevention, and raises to 28 inches for caregiver ergonomics. An 8-function hand pendant controls head angle, knee angle, bed height, and AutoContour positioning (raises head and knees simultaneously). Four DC motors operate quietly -- no hydraulics, no pumps, no noise at night.

The included PrevaMatt Alleviate mattress uses open-cell memory foam with a 2-inch visco topper for pressure redistribution, backed by a 7-year warranty. The wood-grain headboard and footboard with built-in staff control panel make the bed look like bedroom furniture, not a medical device.

One price, one Add to Cart, everything ships to your door.

Why This Bed Matters

Setting up a hospital bed at home is one of the hardest decisions a family makes. It means the person you love needs more care than a regular bed can provide. It changes the look and feel of their bedroom. It can feel institutional, cold, clinical.

This package is designed to make that transition easier -- for the patient and for the family. The wood-grain headboard and footboard make it look like furniture, not equipment. The bed lowers to 8 inches so your parent can get in and out without fear. The memory foam mattress means they sleep comfortably, not on a thin hospital mattress that crinkles every time they move. The side rails give them something to hold onto when they sit up at night.

And for you -- the caregiver -- the bed raises to 28 inches so you are not destroying your back bending over to help them. The AutoContour button raises the head and knees at the same time so they can sit up to eat, read, or watch TV without sliding down. The floor mat is there for the night you are not in the room and they try to get up on their own.

Everything in one order. One purchase. No piecing it together, no wondering if you forgot a component.

Who is this for?

This bed is right for you if:

  • Your loved one weighs up to 450 lbs and needs a hospital bed at home
  • You want everything included in one purchase with no separate components to figure out
  • Fall prevention is a priority -- the 8" low height is one of the lowest available
  • You want the bed to look like bedroom furniture, not a medical device
  • You need a mattress that helps prevent pressure injuries (bedsores)
  • You want side rails for safety without the institutional look of full-length rails

This may not be the right fit if:

  • The patient weighs over 450 lbs (see our RC1000 Bariatric Hospital Bed -- 1000 lb capacity)
  • You need a bariatric-width bed wider than 35 inches (the RC1000 expands to 54 inches)
  • A clinician has prescribed a low air loss mattress for active wound treatment (call us -- we can arrange an air mattress upgrade)
  • You need Trendelenburg positioning (not available on WeCare -- call us to discuss alternatives)
Delivery Information

White Glove Delivery available for $499 -- we bring everything inside, assemble the bed, place the mattress, install the panels and side rails, and set up the floor mat. Strongly recommended.

Standard delivery via freight carrier to your address. You or your team handle assembly.

Estimated delivery: Ships from Joerns Healthcare. Delivery timeframe confirmed when you place your order.

Note: This is a multi-component order. Components may arrive in separate shipments. We will coordinate delivery timing and keep you informed throughout the process.

FAQ

What exactly is included? Five components: the full-electric bed frame, a 7-year warranty therapeutic mattress, wood-grain headboard and footboard with staff control, half-length side rails on both sides, and a bedside floor mat. Everything you need for a complete home hospital bed setup.

How low does the bed go? 8 inches from the floor (not including mattress thickness). With the 6-inch mattress, the sleep surface is approximately 14 inches from the floor -- low enough that if someone rolls out of bed, the fall distance is minimal.

Is it hard to assemble? The WeCare is designed for one-person delivery and setup. The split-frame design means it ships in manageable pieces. No special tools required. That said, we strongly recommend White Glove Delivery ($499) so you do not have to do it yourself.

How loud are the motors? The four DC motors are ultra-quiet. You can adjust the bed at night without waking someone in the next room.

What does AutoContour do? One button press raises the head and knees simultaneously. This positions the patient in a comfortable seated position for eating, reading, or watching TV, and prevents them from sliding toward the foot of the bed.

What does the staff control panel on the headboard do? It duplicates the hand pendant controls on the headboard panel. A caregiver can adjust the bed from the head of the bed without finding the pendant. Useful at night or when the pendant has fallen.

Why half-length rails instead of full-length? Half-length rails cover the head section where they are most useful -- for sitting up, repositioning, and getting in and out. They leave the foot section open for caregiver access and safe bed exit. The FDA has documented entrapment risks with full-length rails, particularly for elderly patients. Half-length is the safer choice for home use.

Can the bed be moved after setup? Yes. The Roll-in-Low design means the casters unlock when the bed is at its lowest height. Lower the bed, roll it where you need it, raise it back up and it locks in place. At any other height, the bed is locked to the floor.

What if the power goes out? The bed stays in whatever position it was in. It will not collapse or drop. However, you will not be able to adjust it until power returns. If this is a concern, add a battery backup ($201) -- mention this when you call us to confirm your order.

Will the mattress help prevent bedsores? The PrevaMatt Alleviate is designed for prevention and treatment of up to Stage II pressure injuries. The 2-inch visco foam topper redistributes pressure, the heel slope protects heels, and the 4-way stretch cover reduces friction. For patients with active Stage III or IV wounds, a low air loss mattress may be needed -- call us to discuss.

What is the warranty? The bed frame has a 1-year warranty on mechanical and electrical components, 7-year warranty on steel structural components, and lifetime warranty on welds. The mattress has a 7-year foam warranty and 1-year cover warranty.
